Here's a map of Gilead as compared to the rest of the U.S. If you've ever wondered what Gilead looked like on a map, now we know. (Season 2 spoilers). Post Apocalyptic Media sometimes covers near-apocalyptic or dystopian shows with a post-apoc feel. We’d also argue that in the United States, there’s certain an apocalyptic/post. Catching up with my #mapvember maps. I decided to try making anything but fantasy maps this #mapvember since all my maps last year were fantasy dungeons. So, around thirty sci-fi, modern and post-apocalyptic maps coming up? This map has an old abandoned landing pad on top of a steep hill.

Two such games have caught my eye (Spec Ops: The Line and I am Alive) and what strikes me most is their unique approach to building design and utilising that for gameplay.I admit to having next to no skill in finding the maps (if there were any) for either game, but am of course on the lookout for maps with that kind of 'terrain' for use and inspiration.Can anyone a) help with maps from the above games and b) suggest any other resources in this area?Thanks in advance.

Hi folks,I pitched a post-apocalyptic game concept to one of the players in my gaming group, and he said that he would love to pick up the idea and run with it as GM.After hashing out some of the details, he asked if I'd help him locate some good map resources, images, and any other stuff that would help set the mood.The setting is going to be contagion (think 28-Days later Plague Zombies) that led to a nuclear exchange - and that was 100 years ago. The characters will begin in an area that is a safe haven in a large ruined city that is infested with plague zombies.Anyone know of any maps that might work for this? RPG maps or grid maps would be especially helpful, but so would any good ruined-city type of reference map.Thanks. Where are you? Your local academic library should have a copy of the original article, if you don't have a subscription.

There's a very rough map of London after the Thames is allowed to flow naturally, without any manmade controls.Mike Davis's has a great chapter on the development of the genre of writing based on ruined cities.
